LES EURYTHMIES ARCHITECTURALES

La nuit s’impose comme une donnée naturelle avec laquelle l’action humaine doit composer, certaines activités s’interrompent, d’autres commencent. Elle est en ville, l’élément d’un maillage d’êtres, d’esprits, d’objets, de destins, de cultures et d’architectures, dialoguant et résonnant les uns avec les autres.
Les lumières de ces structures, dévoilent, tel un mobile actionné par le souffle, les pas, les gestes la vitalité des habitants et le pouvoir du rythme. Ces lumières dilatent l’espace-temps du quotidien et manifestent d’une « eurythmie architecturale » où les énergies constituent « l’âme » de l’édifice, lui permettant ainsi de vibrer et de diffuser « la rythmique de toute une communauté » dans le paysage nocturne.

ARCHITECTURAL EURYTHMY

Night is a natural fact of life with which human action must come to terms, as certain activities come to a halt and others begin. In the city, it is part of a mesh of beings, spirits, objects, destinies, cultures and architectures, interacting and resonating with one another. Like a mobile driven by breath, steps and gestures, the lights in these structures reveal the vitality of the inhabitants and the power of rhythm.
These lights dilate the space-time of everyday life, revealing an « architectural eurythmy » in which energies constitute the « soul » of the building, allowing it to vibrate and spread « the rhythm of an entire community » across the night landscape.
